Where are the bathrooms located?

At the Tuesday and Thursday markets, the bathrooms can be found inside the National Guard armory buildings. During the Ashland Saturday market, in the heart of downtown, we have made special arrangements with the Standing Stone brewery to use their bathrooms.

Do you accept Oregon Trail cards?

Yes, we accept Oregon Trail cards, as well as credit and debit cards! At the information booth, your card can be swiped, and you’ll receive market tokens. These wooden tokens can be used at any booth… at any of our markets. Standard SNAP restrictions apply to Oregon Trail tokens.

Does the market take credit and/or debit cards?

Yes. Proceed to our market information booth to receive wooden tokens for your credit or debit card transaction.

Can someone help me take my purchases to my car?

The Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market pays for a bike taxi service at the Ashland Tuesday market that is FREE to all shoppers. They will be more than happy to help transport you, and your purchases, to your vehicle. We do encourage your participation in walking or biking to the market too!

Would you consider an evening market for those of us who work during the day?

Presently, the closest evening market is in Talent. The THRIVE Buy Local, Buy Rogue pamphlet is available at our information booth and offers a list of available farmers’ markets in our region.

What are the procedures for getting into the market?

Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the market. Please visit the Vendor page and scroll to the bottom. There you will find step-by-step instructions describing how and when to apply to be a part of our market. The links to our applications can be found at the bottom of all pages.

When are the strawberries coming?

You can find out when strawberries, along with many other great and flavorful local foods are available, by clicking on our Availability calendar under the In Season page on this website.

When can I play music at the market?

You may play music at the market by emailing or calling our market managers to set up a date and time. You must contact us the evening before to verify your intention to be there.

When is the last day of market?

The yearly market schedule and times are found on the right-hand column of this web page.

When is kids’ day at the market?

Kid’s Day at the market will be held Tuesday, July 12, and Thursday, July 14.

When is the tomato taste-off?

This year’s tomato taste-off events will be held Saturday, September 10, Tuesday, September 13, and Thursday, September 15.

When are the chef’s demonstrations?

Guest chef demonstrations will be scheduled throughout the season. Find out where and when these will be held by reading our blog and checking our Facebook page.

Is everything at the market organic?

No, not all products found at the market are organic. It is up to individual vendors how they wish to grow/produce/source their products. We do, however, give preference to vendors that operate locally within the Rogue Valley. Be sure to ask individual vendors what their production methods are, and why they have chosen them.

Is everything here local?

Everything produced at the market is as local as it can be! Rogue Valley Growers & Crafters Market is limited to growers, producers and crafters within 3 counties—Jackson, Josephine, and Siskiyou counties. Some of these vendors may choose to source materials and ingredients outside of our valley. Be sure to ask individual vendors about sources of their ingredients, and why they have chosen them.

Where can I use my WIC and Senior Nutrition coupons?

WIC and Senior Nutrition coupons can be used at any market booth that displays a sign indicating participation in the program. Most farms at the market are participants in the WIC/SNAP program.

When are the Master Gardeners coming to market?

The Master Gardeners begin attending the market after their annual Spring Fair. This year it will be after May 8.

Are dogs allowed at the market?

In deference to USDA laws, our markets welcome service dogs only. We ask that pets stay home on market day. The Ashland Saturday market has a shaded water bowl located just outside of the market proper, where your pet can wait while you shop.

Is there a drinking fountain at the market?

At the Tuesday and Thursday markets, drinking fountains are located inside both armories next to the restrooms.

Where are the trash cans?

Trash cans are available in the middle of the market and at the two seating areas provided for the community.
