Mother Tree Makery makes useful things artfully, and artful things for useful purposes. Bowls, cutting boards, handmade wooden kitchen tools and other custom wood/craft work. My goal is to bring beauty into the world by using materials other people would see as waste, or cast offs. What most people see as fodder for a wood chipper is valuable material for me; half a round of a down tree on the road? Ooh, I can make a nice bowl from that! Funky limb that the lumber mill won’t use? I can get three boxes from that! Beauty is all around us, and to me it is especially present in the worlds cast off things.
