SNAP/EBT Market Tokens
All eligible RVGM vendors accept SNAP/EBT tokens. You can redeem your SNAP/EBT benefits by visiting the RVGM info booth, letting market staff know how many benefits you want to redeem, swiping your EBT card, and receive $2 RVGM market tokens to use at eligible booths.
SNAP/EBT tokens can be used to purchase any food product except hot foods or alcohol.
Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB)
Thanks to the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) grant program administered by the Farmers Market Fund, you can double your SNAP dollars (up to $20 at each market!) to spend on fresh produce at RVGCM. DUFB can only be used to buy fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, beans, herbs and veggie starts. Swipe your Oregon Trail card at the Info Booth and withdraw benefits from your SNAP account. You will receive red $2 tokens for that amount. (There is no service fee for swiping your Oregon Trail card). You will then be matched up to $20 in Double-Up Food Bucks to boost your purchasing power. Double-Up Food Bucks are redeemable once per participant per market day at the participating location.
Protein Perks
Protein Match is an additionally funded food access program modeled on the highly successful Double Up Food Bucks program. For the past 3 years this grant has been administered by All Care Health CCO. Our Protein Match program offers a $10 SNAP/EBT match in addition to DUFB that customers can use to buy complete proteins that are fresh, frozen, or shelf stable. Complete proteins are categorized as fish, eggs, meat, nuts, hummus and cheese.
Farm Direct Vouchers
The Oregon Farm Direct Nutrition Program (FDNP) is a state-administered, federal nutrition program serving families enrolled in the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program and income-eligible seniors. Farm Direct participants receive $4 vouchers to spend on fresh, locally-grown fruits, vegetables, and cut edible herbs directly with authorized farmers.
Many of our vendors have applied to accept these vouchers at their booths. To find out which vendors participate in this program, look for signs displayed in their booths or ask the vendors themselves. Vendors are not authorized to give change back for these coupons.
Cash & Credit Cards
All RVGCM vendors welcome and encourage cash purchases and are happy to make change for cash transactions.
Most RVGCM vendors also accept credit cards, but a few have minimum purchase requirements and some charge a service fee for credit card transactions. Check with individual vendors to find out more about their credit card policies.
You may also use card at the information booth in exchange for market tokens, which come in $5 increments, there is a once/day $1.50 service fee to cover merchant transaction fees.
